This is the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) program for Hamilton County, Ohio. We work with the local Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and other amateur radio operators to provide communications support in times of need. This can be anything from large public events to natural and manmade disaster situations. We are there to provide whatever assistance we can to the served agency when they need it.This site is under construction. Check back for further updates! |

who is the leader of this group? |

The leader of a county ARES group is known as the Emergency Coordinator (EC). The EC for Ham Co ARES is Aaron McKnight, KD8ILV. Aaron is local Firefighter-Paramedic, who has worked in Public Safety for the last 11 years. He became an Amateur Radio Operator in 2008, and upgraded to General in 2009.
